For the past 20 years, my family and I lived in Northern Virginia where I spent several years as a small group reading instructor working with students in grades K – 3 and as a 4th grade classroom teacher. We recently had the opportunity to move to Texas and decided to start a new adventure.

My goal when working with students is to help create an environment where every student has the opportunity to feel successful, where they learn to work cooperatively and respectfully with others and develop confidence in themselves. I am eager to help foster a love of learning, exploration and curiosity using Montessori methods. After taking the past school year off to get settled in Texas, I am excited to get back in the classroom!

I love to hike, travel and spend time at the beach! I enjoy the Texas weather and all the time it allows for outdoor adventure. My oldest daughter just graduated from college with a degree in Music Theater and my younger daughter is off to Oregon this fall to pursue degrees in education and psychology. My husband and I enjoy spending weekends exploring Texas. I feel fortunate to be a part of this amazing community and am looking forward to a wonderful year ahead!
